This is a feeding/weight gain/BBW kink game intended for a mature audience (preferably the ones into said kink).

The public beta demo to my game, GutBuster.  This game is being made in Godot 4.2. New updates for the final version will be uploaded to my Patreon for early access for $3 tier patrons. An HTML5 version is playable right here, but you can download it for Windows and Linux (Mac OS version coming soon). The game is free but you can optionally donate to help development.

In this game you play as a cell inside the belly of the greedy raccoon girl, Rebbecca. You use your acid blaster to break apart food and collect lipids, then spend them at the shop to upgrade your abilities and survive the increasing difficulty as you progress. This is a challenging, yet casual game where you can continue as many times as you want. Help Rebbecca to overcome any eating challenge, and don't give her indigestion!

V0.5 Update:
The full 10 level demo is ready, the gameplay has been polished up and the animations and cutscenes are done.

HOW TO PLAY :
Controls:

  • Move with the arrow keys and dodge-roll with Shift. The blaster fires upward automatically.
  • Use the menus with the mouse.
  • Pause the game and bring up the options menu with Esc.

Gameplay:

  • Food targets appear at the top of the screen as Rebbecca eats. They bounce around the play area as you dodge and blast them. Don't get squashed!
  • Large targets, when popped, split into two smaller targets. Large split into medium, medium split in to small. Be ready for where the two will go on splitting.
  • Popped targets drop Lipids, which count as currency for the upgrade shop. You also receive bonus Lipids when you complete a stage.
  • Dodge-rolling (Shift) helps you get out of the way faster and can save you when in a pinch. You have invincibility frames while rolling, but be careful not to be in a bad spot where you stop. There's a short cooldown period between rolling, so use it wisely.
  • Enzymes appear once per level. They all have a set amount of hits they can take regardless of your blaster power. They also expand until they pop open, dropping a power-up.
  • There are 5 different power-ups dropped from enzymes, they last for a limited time (10 seconds*).  Here's what they do:
    • Bile Blaster: Shots double in size, speed, firing rate and power.
    • Tri-Glycerides: Triple spread-shot, goes out in three directions.
    • Osmosis: Rebbecca grabs a drink and her belly fills with water. This causes targets to go at half speed.
    • Cell Wall: You are invincible! Use this opportunity to get a lot of hits in!
    • Hormone Spike: JACKPOT! The room turns gold and targets drop a ton of extra lipids! (*This power-up, unlike the other four, starts out being able to last 15 seconds and has no upgrades.)
  • When you beat the level, or lose all lives, you are brought to the menu to see a funny sketch and get access to the shop. From there you can start/restart the level, go to the shop, or quit the game.
  • The shop has many upgrades you'll need as the game gets tougher! Here's what you can buy:
    • Ghrelin Gat: raises the firing rate of the blaster.
    • Might-O-Chondria: raises the amount of damage each blaster bullet does to a food target. The level is the exact number of damage points your shot does (IE: Level 1= 1 damage, Level 2= 2 damage. and so on).
    • Powerup Upgrades: Bile Blaster, Tri-Glycerides, Osmosis, and Cell Wall, each one adds an additional second to how long they last.
    • Adrenaline: Reduces the cooldown time between dodge-rolls
    • Cell Division: Extra lives, more or less. Allows you to take more hits before having to start over. It replenishes at the start of each level.
    • Coenzymes: Enzymes appear earlier and more often.
    • Metabolism: Each of the lipids you pick up are worth more (this upgrade is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED earlier on in the game).
  • The setting changes every five levels, along with the food.

Options:

  • The pause menu has sliders to control volume of the music** and sound effects.
  • You can also restart the level (only while the level is being played) or quit the game from this menu.
  • The pause menu also has cheats accessibility options if you wanna take it easy and just wanna see the story. Use the number keys when auto-powers mode is on to immediately access . 1: Bile Blaster, 2: Osmosis, 3: Tri-Glycerides, 4: Cell Wall, 5: Hormone Spike.

KNOWN ISSUES (v0.5):

  • **No music has yet been implemented as of this version.
  • I got reports from testers that hitting start right away can cause the level to not being and soft-lock the game. This was present in v0.4 and I think I may have fixed it for v0.5 but I'm not sure. If you encounter this bug, please let me know!!
  • If you have cheats on, they reset when you first start level 5 after the cutscene plays. Just pause again and turn them back on.
  • Some animations have minor errors, both in-game and cutscene.
  • Sometimes a losing cutscene doesn't play.
  • The game has no save feature, so if you quit, you must start over. A save feature is planned for the final release.
  • Slowdown and dropped frames can occur when too many bullets are onscreen, though his only happens when you pick up a Bile Blaster or Tri-Glycerides and you have the Ghrelin Gat at the highest levels, which you probably won't reach if you play with cheats off.
  • The HTML5 browser version kinda screws up the water-effect shader during the Osmosis power-up, but the desktop versions should render it normally. It seems to just be an issue with Godot and HTML, and I don't think it's something I can do anything about...
  • The enzyme damage indication shader is incorrect. It's meant to go from clear to red, but it kinda goes from blue to clear to red. (It doesn't effect the game at all, and I doubt most people would even notice, it just bothers me.)

Thanks for playing, be sure to leave any feedback if you like it. Or don't like it. Keep in mind this is an older version, but feel free to share any problems or bugs you encounter.

Android version?

I love the game, I can't wait to see the other levels and it would be great to have other characters to play with but I understand if that's not possible. Anyway, the game is amazing.

Question is it intentional that the death sprite stays behinds even in future runs/attempts

Nah, that's a glitch

It's kind of funny though

I'm shocked by how funny the dialogue is

Happy to hear that.  I spent like two full days just writing for this. There's gonna be a lot more of it in the final game.

I got to say, this is a big improvement! The very first iteration was a good proof of concept but not much. But this definitely feels more like a proper demo. I'm looking forward to the full game.

The game doesn't load up the next level when I press the start button after I go to the shop.

I'm looking into the cause of that one. It's been particularly difficult since I haven't been able to figure out the cause.  I have it set up so that there are global boolean variables as "event states" to be switched on and off depending on what's happening and what screen you're on (IE: a "level start" state, "Win" state, "Lose" state, states for when or what menus are open).  It's possible that one of those states aren't activating, which is why the level won't start. I'm combing through my scripts to see if there's any errors or inconsistencies (I've already found and corrected a few just today, like the one where a losing scene doesn't play--turns out I thought I had 12 of them done but it was actually 11 so when the RNG picked '12' nothing played) and will be sure to update the demo with bugfixes.
